Extra Credit Option

An extra credit option is worth up to three extra credit points, which count toward the semester's total of 100 points. It is due by 5 December, the Friday of Study Week.

• Select a television program you have access to on DVD.
  • Episodes that have already been entered into Shot Logger are not eligible. Please see the list of episodes here:

• Grab a frame from the start of every shot in your film/program, making sure that the frame's time code is embedded in the file name. Thus, a file name for The Cosby Show might look something like this:
  • Cosbyqq00_10_15qq0000023.png (the part of the file name in bold face is the time code)

• In order for your frames to earn extra credit you must
  1. Identify the name of the episode and when it was originally broadcast
  2. Either burn the frames to a blank CD/DVD, or put them on a flash drive
  3. Submit them either to Dr. Butler's mailbox in the TCF office or come by his office during office hours.
