Application:
You may apply to the program online.
After First Semester:
The Program Course Proposal Form must be filled out by the student and his or her advisor. The program committee reviews and approves it. Copies should be distributed to all members of the student’s committee.
After 12 Graduate Credits Completed:
The student and his or her advisor prepare the Admission to Candidacy Form and submit it to the TCF graduate coordinator, who files it with the Graduate School and gives the student a copy.
The Admission to Candidacy form must be approved by the time of registration for the semester in which requirements for the degree are completed.
Comprehensive Examination and Oral Defense:
The advisor and the committee sign the TCF Comprehensive Examination Form and it is filed at the TCF office.
After Comprehensive Exam and During the Final Semester(s)
Thesis/Project Proposal Form is approved by the student’s thesis/project committee. Copies to the student and the student’s folder.
As the Degree Is Completed:
Thesis plan:
The advisor and the committee sign the Committee Acceptance Form for Electronic Thesis or Dissertation which the student submits to the Graduate School with his or her thesis.
Project plan:
The advisor and the committee sign the Project Final Defense Form and it is filed at the TCF office. The student submits two copies of the project in written form, along with any supplemental digital materials, to his or her advisor, who stores one copy in the TCF Department archives.
