Doohwang Lee is an assistant professor in the Department of Telecommunication and Film at the University of Alabama. His primary research interests lies in the areas of uses and effects of interactive media, including video game usage, online brand community engagement behavior in social networking sites, mobile phone SMS alert service adoption, online protection behavior, information disclosure in human-computer interaction, etc. He is also the recipient of 2009 Research Grants Committee (RGC) Research Funds Awards and has investigated the impact of TV program-induced mood on persuasion.
At the University of Alabama, he teaches Telecommunication Policy and Law and Mass Media Research Methods. He is a member of the International Communication Association and the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
